About the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation
The Toowoomba Hospital Foundation supports the life-changing work of Darling Downs Health by funding equipment, services, and patient care programs across the region.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, we’re able to deliver projects that make a real difference — bringing comfort, improving treatment, and supporting our healthcare teams.
Every dollar donated stays right here in the Darling Downs, helping people in our local hospitals when they need it most.

Impact projects
Help build the Regional Cancer Centre
We’ve partnered with Darling Downs Health to help fund a new Regional Cancer Centre — a dedicated space for cancer and haematology care, designed to bring together employees, services, and patients under one roof.
Planned to open alongside the new Toowoomba Hospital, this centre will reduce travel times for rural families and ensure more people can access quality cancer treatment, closer to home.
Hospital accommodation
If you or a loved one needs to travel for treatment at Toowoomba Hospital, we’re here to help with convenient, affordable accommodation close to care. We manage two accommodation options:
- Clive Berghofer Toowoomba Hospital Accommodation Units — six comfortable, self-contained units located onsite at Toowoomba Hospital.
- Common Ground Lodge — three self-contained, two-bedroom units fully equipped with their own private kitchen, laundry, bathrooms, and living spaces, with a shared backyard.
Both options are designed to be a home away from home for patients and families who need to travel more than 50km for treatment. You may also be eligible for support through the Patient travel subsidy scheme.

We also run a gift shop at Toowoomba Hospital and offer catering services to the public.

Since 1996, we’ve managed all visitor and onsite parking at the hospital.

Museum of Health
The Toowoomba Hospital Foundation is proud to care for the historical collections of Toowoomba Hospital and Baillie Henderson Hospital.
We’re creating the Museum of Health — a space where our region’s medical history will be preserved, explored, and celebrated. The refurbishment of the heritage-listed Medical Superintendent’s House is complete with more updates to come soon.
