What does the Foundation do?

With help from our community, we fund a number of specialised programs and medical equipment to help our patients and train Darling Downs Health staff.

These programs and equipment help open up opportunities of care and bring extra comfort to people who are struggling and are in need.

We've helped fund:

  • healthcare equipment
  • health services and programs for the Darling Downs region
  • training and programs for our staff
  • accommodation for rural patients
  • research and scholarships for Darling Downs Health staff.

How you can help

You can help us by raising funds, sponsorships or volunteering for the foundation.

One hundred per cent of all donations you make and funds you raise go directly to patient care. We don't use any funding on administration costs.

The funds help patients access state of the art equipment. By supporting the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, you're directly helping people in our local community.

Wellbean Co

The Foundation owns and manages Wellbean Co Café at Toowoomba Hospital and Baillie Henderson Hospital.

Buying a hot drink, lunch or snack from Wellbean Co during your visit will support the programs funded by the Foundation.

They also have a Gift Shop at Toowoomba Hospital which sells fresh flowers, teddy bears, phone accessories and toiletries.

Read more about Wellbean Co on the Foundation website.

Clive Berghofer Toowoomba Hospital Accommodation units

The Foundation can help provide accommodation for patients who need to travel more than 50 kilometres for care at the Toowoomba Hospital.

The 6 Clive Berghofer Toowoomba Hospital Accommodation units on the hospital campus have everything patients might need for a short stay.

The Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme may be an option for some patients who book their stay with the Clive Berghofer Accommodation units.

Free sunscreen trailer

We help our community find easy ways to stay smart in the sun with our sunscreen trailer.

It's free to hire for all community groups, organisations, event committees, schools, sporting clubs and local businesses.

You can book the trailer on the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation website.
