About the midwife guide

Our midwife guide is an experienced midwife who can give you and your family extra support if:

  • you’re pregnant
  • you’re planning a pregnancy
  • you recently gave birth
  • you’d like information about our maternity services and facilities.

You can call the midwife guide Monday to Friday between 9 am and 4 pm on 0448 305 044 or email ddhhs-midwifeguide@health.qld.gov.au.

How they can help

The midwife guide can help by:

  • answering your questions and listening to concerns
  • connecting you with our maternity care services and supports
  • talking about your pregnancy, birth or maternity care experience
  • explaining how to give feedback or make a complaint.

They can also give you information about our birth facilities in Dalby, Goondiwindi, Kingaroy, Stanthorpe, Toowoomba and Warwick.

The midwife guide does not provide maternity care or replace the formal feedback or complaints process. If you need health care or medical advice see your GP or maternity care provider.

In an emergency, call Triple Zero (000) and ask for an ambulance. If you’re not sure if it’s an emergency call 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) and speak to a registered nurse.

Feedback and complaints

We value your feedback. It helps us know what's working well and how we can improve.

Our feedback page explains what to do if you've got a compliment, complaint or suggestion.
