People First Strategy 2023-2027
The workplace experience we provide for our people has never been more important and we know that our people’s commitment and positive engagement will be critical to our successful transformation as an organisation. The People First Strategy outlines actions through four domains delivering:
- Plan: advanced approaches to workforce planning and analytics, and informed decisions about actions to ensure we attract and retain the right people and enhance the employee experience.
- Acquire: broader pipelines for talent attraction and acquisition to ensure we have the right people in place to meet service outcomes.
- Enable: a better enabled workforce, where people are set up for success and can grow throughout their employment with us.
- Retain: improved retention through safe and positive workplace experiences that foster people’s wellbeing and help them thrive.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Action Plan 2024-2026
We recognise the unique value that each person's background and experiences bring to our workplaces, and we want to support them to realise their full potential.
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Action Plan supports the aim of the Public Sector Act 2022 to develop a diverse workforce that represents and reflects the diverse views, experiences and backgrounds of the people of Queensland.

Our people make it possible - employee listening
We are finding more ways to engage with our people to understand their experiences, needs, and perspectives, turning insights into sustained improvements. Later in 2026 we will complete an employee engagement census using the Gallup Q12. A results dashboard will be posted here once available.
